Heiligenblut is Carinthia’s highest skiing resort on the foot of and with view to the highest mountain of Austria: Grossglockner. As the skiing area with its 55 slope kilometers from 1.301m to 2.902m above sea level and an elevation difference of up to 1.500m, Heiligenblut is a skiing area with snow-guarantee. Additionally, freeriders and deep-snow skiers will come into their own with the approx. 15.000 ha of open, high-alpine skiing expanse with countless variations. Most of the 55 slope km are red (medium) and blue (easy) slopes, but there is also a black one. On top there are the 15.000 ha of open freeride territory. In the skiing area there are a total of 12 skilifts including a kids’ lift, drag lifts, chair lifts and cabin lifts.75% of the skiing area are above 2.000m sea level. Due to the elevation difference, there are long descents (the longest one is approx. 1,5km) and the there are no waiting times at the skilifts.
