Sorrento is one of the most romantic resorts in the world! In the XIX century it was chosen by the Russians: steamships from Odessa were regularly coming here, bringing to rest families of famous Russian writers, artists, musicians. The beaches are mostly pebble (umbrellas and sun loungers usually stand on stone and wooden platforms). A distance of 50 km from Naples to Sorrento can easily be reached by a suburban train CircumVesuviana.
