BORMIO - ALTA VALTELLINA

Bormio - a unique ski resort in Italy with hot thermal springs, located in the Alta-Valtellina region. Guests here are waiting for 100 kilometers of well-groomed marked trails (35% of "blue", 45% of "red", 20% of "black") and 17 high-speed lifts.
One of the main advantages of Bormio is the biggest elevation difference in Italy (3012-1225m), which can be overcome "without grafting" and gentle girders, as well as a variety of relief slopes. In 2005, Bormio hosted the World Ski Championships, which transformed the resort: the Bormio 2000 funicular was opened, which carries 2,800 people per hour to a height of 2000 m in 7 minutes, and built multi-kilometer tunnels.
For lovers of SPA-relaxation, there are 3 large thermal complexes with diverse health-improving procedures: Bormio Terme (a modern complex in the city center, children's entrance is allowed), BagniVecchi (historical Roman therms outside the city at the same hotel) and BagniNuovi (the thermal center of the only five-star hotel resort, equipped with a special chic).
